Stream of Consciousness

OK, here goes. First blog on blogger. I've blogged on Myspace, but it's been few and far between my posts. I used to love to write when I was younger- I always thought if I failed at anything, I could always fall back on writing, but I hate grammar, so I will probably end up writing books that english professors would lump in the "stream of consciousness" realm, and try and decipher why I wrote something without proper grammar when I am so educated. The truth- I just don't care- I didn't care about grammar in grade school or high school and most americans don't know proper grammar anyway, so I don't care. It's not like I'm filing a brief with the Supreme Court here.

I ride the bus almost every day to work- not because I'm so concerned about saving the planet, but mainly because it's hella cheaper to ride the bus then drive a car and pay for parking in downtown Tucson. Plus, the county subsidizes bus passes. Some of the people on the bus are just like me- regular people working downtown, riding the bus for their own reasons. But some of the people on the bus, well... my bus route does drive down Miracle Mile. I wear headphones, immerse myself in whatever book I'm currently reading, and try and ignore everyone until we get to downtown. I wrote for a while when I was taking the bus from OV to downtown, but people would always look and try and see what I was writing-- and that is really annoying.

There is an ESPN special on the Olympics tonight. After seeing Joe Mauer break up a no-hitter against the White Sox (woohoo- he's on my fantasy team!), I turned to the next channel and have been completely engrossed in watching the Bud Greenspan special. Watching the Harding/Kerrigan incident (realizing, you can take the white trash girl out of the trailer, but you can't take the white trash out of the girl), singing the South Park song when seeing Brian Boitano (What would Brian Boitano Do?), seeing footage from the Munich Olympics and fearing that another incident could happen again in Beijing...it makes me think how I cannot wait until 8-8-08, but how I fear that I will be disappointed by China hosting in a city that has bigger traffic problems than Atlanta and more smog than LA.
Tomorrow is going to be a good day....Louise is coming back to town! Let me explain... I met Kristi @ the office- I was supposed to take over JP1 for her after I finished Attorney Training- but because I was a slacker and filed my character & fitness late (part of my insecurity about wondering if I was going to pass the Bar this time around) I got to hang around with Kristi a lot and keep her from going to felonies in a timely manner. I hope she's forgiven me by now, and we are both working hard in Narcotics as the superheroes known as: "Thelma & Louise." Kristi flew out to San Fran last week because her sister had a baby (Ava Grace- although I suggested Zoltan as a middle name for the little darling), and she should be back in town tonight and at work tomorrow. Every morning when I come to the office I have to walk by her office door, and it's just habit that I look inside the door to see if she's there....and I've been looking like a complete idiot this week looking into a dark office, which I know is going to be dark... I can't wait!!!
